Let's  be  friends

Hello there! I'm so glad you stopped by my blog! This is the place where I help tell a story - a story of adventure, beauty, and most importantly, a story of love. I think you can agree that we all could use a little bit more of that in our world, right?

Analisa: A Hawaii Maternity Session

Analisa and I met through the amazing Rebecca of Rebecca M. Creative. I still don’t know how Rebecca makes connections with so many people, but when I told her I would be headed to Oahu, she connected Analisa and I. So really we have Rebecca to thank for these incredible photos! Analisa was such a trooper for this session. She was only TWO DAYS away from her due date. I still don’t know how she can look this amazing being this close to giving birth but I am so glad we photographed it. When we met up, she mentioned, “I love that I will be able to show these pictures to my daughter and tell her, ‘This was right before you were born!'” Not only that, but Analisa’s mom just flew into town so we were able to capture Grandma with the baby bump too 😉

I know that no woman feels their best or most beautiful when they are this pregnant, but I am so proud and happy that Analisa was willing to be photographed and capture this fleeting time in her life. It really is a gift that she can give to her daughter AND herself. I can guarantee that years from now, when she looks back on these images, she won’t think anything negative about herself or this session, but instead will only have gratitude for them. I know it’s hard to think that way, especially when it feels like we will be pregnant forever, but pregnancy DOES end, and there will come a time in our life where we’ll be able to appreciate a gift like maternity photos. Especially when these maternity photos happen to be in HAWAII!

Analisa and her husband moved to Hawaii just a few months ago, and I told her that soon she will be able to hike and swim without a baby in her belly and she’ll be able to enjoy all the amazing things Oahu has to offer with a baby in backpack or in her arms instead of swelling up her body! It will definitely be more fun that way 🙂 She said her and her husband have been enjoying their little “babymoon” in Hawaii before baby arrives, but that they are totally ready for her to come now!

Analisa, you’re stunning! I am sending you all the baby vibes I can muster to get this girl here soon!! Either way, it won’t be much longer now 🙂
