A Cliffs at Glassy Chapel Wedding in South Carolina
Jen + Julie
This day was such a wonderful, joy-filled wedding. I am so happy I got to capture Jen and Julie’s Cliffs at Glassy Chapel wedding, shooting for Matt from AMW Studios. First of all, Matt is so fun to shoot with. Second of all, these two brides just had the best hearts and the happiest souls! I don’t think I have ever witnessed a more smiley, happy recessional after vows being said. They were mouth-wide-open smiling and it just made me feel so happy for them.
After the ceremony, we met up with these two in downtown Greenville. Their reception was held at Larkins on the River in Greenville, but we had ample time to explore this cute town. We walked along the river, and across the two main bridges, enjoying the perfect weather and overcast skies.
During the reception at Larkins, Jen and Julie spoke to their closest friends and family and said a few words I’ll remember for a long time. They mentioned understanding why, after planning this wedding, some people decide to elope instead. “But,” they said, “If you had been told that something you had wanted for a very long time was finally being given to you, then you too would want to share that joy with your friends and family.” It was a touching moment of realization for me.
