When my good photographer friend Amber Prusse Photography mentioned that she was working on a Downton Abbey styled shoot, my interest was immediately piqued. I know nothing about the show, as I’ve never watched a single episode, but I had a general idea about it. I was itching to practice shooting some more film, and I had a feeling that this shoot would be the perfect opportunity to do just that! I loved how regal and elegant the models and dresses were, and loved that the two couples had very different styles and moods. Cassi and her husband were older, established, comfortable, and simply put – exquisite. Elise and her husband were young, fresh, giddy, and fun. Shooting at the Castle Park was a new experience for me, as well and I loved exploring this unique venue!
I am super excited about the way the film turned out from this shoot. It has made me super excited to continue using film – I love comparing my film images to the few digital images that I did take, as it helps me better understand what I love about film, and what I need to do to improve my film work!
A huge thanks to all the vendors who made this shoot one-of-a-kind!
