Let's  be  friends

Hello there! I'm so glad you stopped by my blog! This is the place where I help tell a story - a story of adventure, beauty, and most importantly, a story of love. I think you can agree that we all could use a little bit more of that in our world, right? If you want to follow our travels, check out our the National Park Family blog!

Erin + Tyler: A Piney Branch Wedding

Do you remember Erin and Tyler’s gorgeous winter engagement session at Piney Branch Golf Course? How about the fact that their moms – who have been friends since before either Erin or Tyler were born – have been joking about the two of them getting together their whole lives? Well, the day finally arrived and the mother of the groom told me, “Who would have ever thought that when Misty and I met in third grade that our children would marry and we would be family! The kids all played together when they were toddlers. We’ve been trying for years to get them to date… How ironic it all worked out!”

Meeting up with Erin as she put the final touches on her hair and makeup, and as her closest friends helped her into the most stunning, sleeveless wedding gown, I could sense the eager anticipation and excitement in the air. Erin and Tyler had chosen not to have a First Look with each other until the traditional moment of her walking down the aisle. Instead, Erin had a quiet and special First Look with her dad before she walked into the church to marry Tyler. Seeing Erin and Tyler finally holding hands, saying their vows, and exchanging rings, it felt like they had finally found their place that they had been looking for. They were right where they were supposed to be – with each other. It was like they both could relax, now that they had one another by their sides once again.  They were each other’s air they had been holding their breath for all morning long.

There were so many sweet moments throughout this day, as there always are on wedding days. Among my favorites were: seeing Tyler driving Erin around in the golf cart as we roamed around for their bride and groom portraits, the maid of honor describing the fun childhood they experienced together thanks to Erin’s sweet Pappy, and when Tyler’s mom invited Erin to join the two of them during the Father/Mother dance. It was a sweet extension of love and acceptance.

…and of course, we can’t forget the epic garter dance 😉

Erin and Tyler are currently honeymooning it up and I can’t wait for them to see this sneak peek of their beautiful wedding day!
