The Hernandez Family was such a joy to photograph last year, and I had been looking forward to seeing them again. This sweet family of all boys is one of my last family sessions for this year. One fun thing that I’ve been doing as I’ve been winding down on my family sessions, is making sure to do a “mini” anniversary session for the parents. This gives me the chance to shoot film and of course gives the parents a chance to cuddle up a bit. Doing it this way can get tricky because we have to balance watching the kids, or kids wanting to snuggle mom when she’s trying to be romantic with dad. But I’ve found that we always come up with a little bit of magic when we put time aside for just the parents!

Heather and Adrian were no exception! They fit together to perfectly, not just in their physical embrace of each other but as partners and as parents. Their boys are polite, kind, and clearly adorable, and I can tell that they are so loved and so well cared for by both their mom and their dad. It is obvious they are a team, and I loved witnessing that. Thank you both for taking time out of your session to allow me to experience your marriage in this small way!!
