The Severins

I have written and shared about photographing this family for several years in a row now. They have been a loyal supporter of my business since I first moved to Maryland and met this crew. I photographed them while Maureen was pregnant with their now youngest – and look how big she is now! For Maureen, family photos mean everything. They are really, the one thing she asks for from her family, in return for all she does for them. As with all families I get the privilege of photographing year after year, I love being a bystander to the way their love changes and grows through the years. For a long time, Maureen was a Boy Mama – and now she has two more little girls and the love transforms into something new and different.

One of my favorite memories of this fun family is their yearly awesome lip-synching production they perform at our Church’s Christmas Party. The first time I witnessed their awesome dancing and lip-syncing skills, I knew these were the kind of people I wanted to be friends with. Fun, fearless, kind, funny, and not afraid to have a good time!

Last year their session took place at sunrise, which we quickly learned was not the best idea for a certain someone in their family. So this year we made sure to do an evening session at the gorgeous Naval Academy grounds in Annapolis, Maryland. Want to see more of this sweet family? Click below!
