I’m almost embarrassed to admit that on the morning of Paula and Russell’s engagement session, I looked out my window, saw how much snow was falling, and immediately texted Paula to ask her if we were still on for their session that day. She texted back and let me know right away that she was hoping it would be snowing for their engagement session….I told her I would be brave and pretend like it hadn’t been 9 years since the last time I lived in a state where they actually had snowy winters! Once I got over my “Maryland Mindset” that freaks out at the tiniest bit of snow, I started to get really excited to photograph these two in a totally different setting than I am used to!
Paula and Russell had decided to take their engagement photos at the location of their first date – along the trail to Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon. Russell knew that Paula liked to bike ride, so he made sure that that was the activity he suggested when he asked her out for the first time! It was so fun to join these two as we ventured through the snow (and at times, strong winds!) to the falls. They were patient with me and my slow, pregnant walking, and I was just excited to be with them, learn more about their love story, and capture these gorgeous, snowy images!!
Paula and Russell, a huge THANK YOU for being my first snowy session in a long time and, even more than that, being my first UTAH engagement session!!!
