Hi, I'm meghan

When Sarah told me her little brother was getting married and that they might be contacting me for photos, I was over-the-moon excited!!! I knew that any brother of Sarah’s would most likely be a joy to work with – and boy was I right!! Not only that, but they were getting married in the mother of all temples: The Salt Lake City temple!! AND they wanted to do a First Look. I know that’s a lot of exclamation points right there but that was like the triple whammy for a perfect temple wedding day!!

I met up with them in the afternoon and, at the time, the weather was perfect – warm, sunny, slight breeze. Though we had done Tori’s bridal session the day prior, Peter had been insistent on not seeing her in her dress until the day of their wedding. Their first look was the sweetest moment – just the two of them, completely overwhelmed with excitement and disbelief that it was their WEDDING day!! Peter had to step back about 3 different times just to get another good look at his bride.

Then I sent them off to go get married!! As I waited for them, the sky began to darken. About 5 minutes before they walked out of the temple, I felt like sprinkles on my head. Soon, the rain was coming down. But that didn’t stop their JOY that exploded out the temple doors as they walked out, newly husband and wife.

Because it was now raining so hard, they had to close down the inner Temple Square for safety reasons (the tiles get really slippery when they’re wet), so we took this time to go explore other areas around Temple Square for really unique bride and groom portraits! This also made us super happy that they had done a first look before the rain came down!

Tori’s ring was incredible!! On one side was Peter’s birth stone and on the other side is Tori’s birth stone.

Thank you for such a wonderful day, Tori and Peter.  Your bright spirits and love for each other inspired me, and made my first experience shooting at the SLC temple a memorable one!!!
