Corbett was introduced to me by my friend Tracy from Whipped. Cakes & Confections whom I interviewed on my last Friendor Friday. Corbett is a super talented calligrapher and will be doing some amazing things for us at our styled shoot in December. She also is selling adorable Santa bags and Santa letters for Christmas this year! I am in love with these! Be sure to get in touch with her if you want one for your kids! Please welcome Corbett to my blog today!

How did you get started in calligraphy? I have always had a love and appreciation for art. I went to school for Graphic Design and love what I do, but always wanted to at some point, get reacquainted with fine art. I started off just doing things for friends and eventually word of mouth created a steady stream of really fun work.

What is your favorite kind of work to do? My favorite kind of work to do would be something that allows me to integrate several different styles of typography and illustration into one cohesive design. I love the look of mixing and matching different styles harmoniously.

How do you love to serve your clients? I do a lot of signs and envelope addressing for weddings and I love that people trust me to be a part of their special day. I enjoy trying to really deliver more than the bride asked for.

If you had one tip for a bride, what would it be? I would probably tell them to create Pinterest boards for each aspect of the wedding and give your vendors access to not only see them, but to be able to pin to as well. That will help make sure you’re all on the same page as far as expectations for finished products go. 🙂
