This is one of those families it’s hard to give up when you start specializing in weddings. Luckily for me, they had scheduled their one last family session with me months before I had announced my decision, and so I had the chance to capture their beautiful family yet again. And of course this time, we made sure to spend a little extra time with just Mom and Dad so they could have a “mini” anniversary session.
This is my third year in a row photographing this bunch. Our first two sessions were at parks, so we decided to do something a little different this time around and meet up in downtown Annapolis. I always love starting at the capital building to give images that timeless, clean background of the stone steps! Then we headed down to the water and the docks….only to be met with a few road blocks – literally! I didn’t realize that the Boat Show was still going on at the time….nor did I realize how BIG of a deal the boat show is in Annapolis! We were able to ask security if there was even just the tiniest access point to a dock and he pointed us the way to a small sliver by the water that was still open to the public.
I just need to say – I love these two! We spent less than a year attending the same church/ward as them, but Maureen has always showed me unconditional kindness and friendliness. She goes out of her way to make people feel loved and wanted – and of course her family is no exception to that. Marc’s smile and easy-going ways are the perfect complement to Maureen. Their family is spontaneous, fun, spunky, outgoing, and genuine. They know how to have a good time – whether up on stage at the local talent show, busting a move to “What Does the Fox Say?,” their many family-coordinating Halloween costumes, or loving Harry Potter just as much as I do, I’ve loved watching them live life with joy and excitement! These parents of FIVE are an inspiration to me and so many others!
