Noah: A Franklin Senior Session

I don’t often get the chance to photograph senior boys but when I do, I am always reminded just how much I LOVE them!! Boys are just as much fun to put in front of the camera as my girls, too! Especially when they are confident and easy going like Noah. Noah’s senior session is definitely at the top of my list for most unique location! His mom had asked if we could find a recording studio to shoot in, because this is what Noah would like to study when he goes to college at this fall. Myriad Media in Franklin was open to us using their space and it was so awesome to see Noah in his element! I could tell how excited he was to start learning how to use all this equipment for REAL. We even went into a mic room and I got a one-on-one, live performance of some of Noah’s original songs. He even rapped on the fly when I told him to just keep going! I was so impressed and loved seeing this side of him.

After the recording studio, we hit downtown Sylva for some good old grungy alleyways and for the awesome view of the hills at the top of the Jackson County Public library. Noah brought along his sweet girlfriend, too, so of course I had to sneak in a few fun shots of the two of them together! Noah had mentioned to me that he wanted his senior session to represent dreams of where he’s going in life, but that there have been times in his life where he has felt like an outcast and he has learned to embrace it and appreciate being a little on the mysterious side. I think we have a good mix of both in this session!
