Bryson City Elopement | Cessie + Casey
Cessie and Casey reached out to me only a few weeks before their Bryson City elopement, looking for someone to capture it all for them. This elopement was not their original plan. But I think everyone can agree that Covid made sure that nothing went according to plan this year! Cessie and Casey thought they were planning a vacation in Bryson City for their parents and families to meet for the first time. Instead, once they realized a “typical” wedding might not be an option for them this year, they changed their minds. Instead of just a fun family vacation, they decided to get married, right then and there!
I met them at the Swain County Courthouse, where their brothers were the witnesses. We migrated to the river front, and within 5 short minutes of vows and a kiss – that was it! They were married, with all the important people witnessing it. That was all that mattered to them! Afterwards we took photos at the Swain County Heritage Museum with the beautiful white columns. We also knew they wanted to show off the beautiful mountains of Bryson City. So I drove them up to a nearby overlook to make sure we got just a bit of the Smoky Mountains in their portraits!
While my time with Cessie and Casey was short, it was oh-so-sweet. Their love was exuberantly joyful! You’ll see many shots of Cessie just bursting into laughter, and those photos make me so happy!
