Little Ethan was born into the most loving family, and I had the pleasure of stepping into their new world and their family of now 5 this past Saturday. I was welcomed by big brother and big sister, both eager to talk to me, show me their beautiful home, and also introduce me to baby brother. We started off the session by taking photos of the whole family, that way we could send the older siblings off to play when they were done smiling for me 🙂 The love they have for not only their little baby brother, but also their parents, was obvious, and they definitely all fell into place so perfectly.
I always love doing sessions in someone’s home because it is so easy to get a feeling for who they are and how their family connects to each other. This family was no exception! After we finished family photos, we excused big brother Brecken and sister Aspen to play and I got to spend time with just mom, dad, and Ethan. These photos are so tender and special. I loved seeing the way these parents love each of their children individually and uniquely, yet all the same. Ethan is definitely a vital piece of their family, and it’s evident in the way Mom and Dad held and talked to him, and also held each other with him wrapped up in between them.
Ethan was seriously one of the most pleasant newborns I’ve ever worked with. He was awake the whole session, but not fussy at all. He was happy to be handed to whomever reached out for him – including me – and he was so alert and curious! Capturing a snippet of time during the first week of his life was definitely a treat and I love the images we got during this session!
