Every night as we tuck the boys in bed, we lay with them in the dark and tell them a story. For the past few months, they’ve been requesting we tell them stories about The Ninja Brothers. These brothers are quick, nimble, smart, and strong, and save villages, princesses (and princes, of course, because they need rescuing too), and their families from all sorts of villains. So it was only natural that as Halloween crept up and we started to talk about what they wanted to dress up as, that they both excitedly exclaimed, “The Ninja Brothers!”
Our church has an annual Trunk-or-Treat but I was second-shooting a wedding so I was unable to attend. Plus, Rhenner refused to wear his costume that night. When I asked Adam how it went, he did not have positive things to say….woops. Good thing we got another attempt tonight! We were invited to a friend’s neighborhood for trick-or-treating and things went much smoother.

We are trying a new tradition this year! We choosing 5 of our favorite candies to keep, and then setting the rest of the candy out on the front porch for the Great Pumpkin to devour; in return he is going to leave the boys a present for them to find in the morning! This way we don’t have candy staring us in the face for the next month. I’m sure everyone at Adam’s work will appreciate our new tradition as well 🙂
