I’ve really been itching to shoot more film! I have also been completely drooling over some locations here in Saratoga Springs that are super close to my house. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE going up into the mountains, especially for photo sessions, but I just had to get some pretty shots of the views that were so close to me. So I decided since this would be something more for myself, that I would do a fun, spur-of-the-moment giveaway. Courtney and her sweet family were the winners, and I was so thrilled with the way it all turned out.
Not only were they willing to drive to my specified location, but they did it before the sun rose on a Saturday morning!! Alllll while in the middle of moving to a brand new house. They spent their very first night in their new home the night before this session. Talk about a super mom! Family pictures can be stressful enough, even without worrying about a new house and moving. And while the morning ended up being a bit cloudy and I didn’t quite get the radiant beams of early morning sunrise that I was hoping for, I ended up loving the blue/gray cloud coverage with the whole scene!
I am so grateful to these four for making it happen though! Not only are they all gorgeous and matched perfectly with the location I’d chosen for them – the Marina in Saratoga Springs – but I got to practice my film on a family session. I definitely need MORE practice, but I am still so happy with the way these turned out! I also loved finding out that Courtney and Garrett had been at BYU-Hawaii the same time that Adam and I were there. We have several mutual friends (including my sister-in-law!) and yet it took a random selection of a giveaway to meet 🙂 I’m so glad we did!!
