This was such a FUN session for me for several reasons! For one thing, this was my first bridal session in a LONG, long time. In Maryland, bridal sessions are not super common or popular. But I TOTALLY get why they are in Utah! LDS brides share their day and the temple with a LOT of other couples. This means the temples are usually crowded, you have to wait your turn for the spot in front of the temple, and you feel rushed knowing others are waiting for you to finish! But with a bridal session, you can schedule your session on an evening that won’t be as crowded, you won’t feel rushed, and you won’t have your whole family watching and waiting. Plus, you don’t have to do your bridal shower at the temple! You can be adventurous and go someplace epic…..which is exactly what Tori did.
Tori was the other reason this session was so awesome. She completely trusted me, which allowed me to be creative and find these stunning locations for incredible bridal portraits. She told me she didn’t care how long we took or where we went because this was the only chance she’d have for the rest of her life to create these images….now that is the perfect client!! 🙂
We met at the Battle Creek Falls trailhead and walked around the less popular side, and shot until the sun set and golden warm light exploded over the tops of the mountains and faded into the deep blues and purples of dusk. Tori was a stunning bride, and this session made me all sorts of giddy for their Salt Lake City temple wedding, which was the next day. I couldn’t wait to see Peter’s face when he saw how beautiful his bride was!!!
