Cashiers North Carolina Family Photographer
I am so thrilled with the way these photos turned out!! Lauren and I were a little concerned that this session might not even happen! Lauren, her husband, and her two daughters traveled from a few hours away to visit with her Dad in Cashiers. The weekend of their visit, I only had one time available, and the weather was looking iffy. However, we decided to go for it, no matter the outcome.
After getting a little lost in the mountain neighborhoods, I arrived at her father’s home. At that time, the rain stopped! We shot as much as we could, until we started to feel a little drizzle again. Then it started to pour! We all ran back up to the porch for shelter. I kept snapping away, and we got a few lovely portraits even as it rained all around us. After only a few more minutes of heavy rain, it started to clear up again! Tentatively, we poked our heads out from under the porch.
When we decided it was all clear, the girls led me back down to the creek. Over the creek was a sweet little bridge, and naturally these sisters wanted only to get in the water! After getting a few smiles at the camera, Mom and Dad let them splash and play! Those shots are some of my favorite. They are just so natural and innocent, and remind me of a day well spent along the river.
