I have been DYING to hit up Hawksbill Mountain for the entire summer!! So when Sarah and Stephen agreed to hike with me for their Linville Gorge anniversary photos, I could NOT be any more thrilled. These two were up for it all, and everything turned out even more beautiful than I could have imagined!!

We began our hike about an hour before sunset, so we knew we had to bust it up to the top. Things started out easy enough, but near the end the trail did get a little trickier. I have to hand it to Sarah, who climbed up the little mountain goat trails in her dress like a CHAMP. It was all worth it, though. The views at the top were simply stunning. We had gotten there at exactly the prime time. With the sun beginning to set just beneath the clouds, the rays were weaving in between the mountains and crevices. It just seemed to take our breath away!

Stephen had hiked down into Linville Gorge before (and warned me of the rattlesnakes! Yikes!), but this was everyone’s first time up Hawksbill Mountain. Luckily for us, there was another hiker there who told us where the good spots were. We were NOT disappointed.

Even more than gorgeous views, though, I feel lucky to have met and gotten to know Sarah and Stephen! They are both servants of the Lord, and dedicate their lives to Him and His church – and it shows! They are radiant, kind, and warm. Together they have traveled all around the world sharing the gospel of Christ and establishing churches in so many different countries! They will be leading a trip to Jerusalem that I so wish I could attend!! I am excited to continue to follow their journey!!
