Columbia Engagement Photographer | Jen + John
Jen and John met through mutual friends at a brewery one night. One of Jen’s friends had gone on a date with one of John’s friends the previous night. When they all met up the next night and realized they had mutual friends, John and Jen really hit it off. When John decided it was time to ask Jen to marry him, he had some epic planning to do. As him and Jen walked down a beautiful walkway to a restaurant, he had friends blocking both ends of the walkway. He had another friend taking pictures of the proposal. After getting down on one knee, and Jen saying yes, they went to the restaurant to find all of Jen’s family waiting to celebrate. Some of their family traveled all the way from Ohio and Chicago to be there with them that evening! Jen said, “It was the most perfect day. I still can’t believe he pulled all of that off without me having any idea!”
When I asked Jen what she was most looking forward to in marriage, she answered: “Building a life and a family together.”
The Engagement Session
Jen had briefly mentioned to me that her and her fiance were a little bit nervous about their engagement session. So perhaps you can imagine my surprise when they asked me halfway through, “Would you mind if we jumped into the lake at the end?” I’m pretty sure working with couples like Jen and John is every photographer’s dream! Of course I said yes! Spontaneity, romance, chemistry? They had it all! I was so happy for the perfect end to their already perfect session!
