This Black Balsam Knob photo session has completely stolen my heart. Each image holds such wild beauty. From the wind swirling Brittany’s dress and hair. To the waves of sunlight just pouring over their skin. To the blue, rolling mountains behind them. All of it gives me so much life!!

Brittany and Neil were the absolute best to photograph. They have such an infectious joy about them. They were easy to talk to, easy to be around. Of course, I knew Brittany was my kinda girl as soon as she said she was going to go barefoot during the pictures. She’s a girl after my own heart.

How they met

Brittany is the manager at a Lululemon store, and one day Neil came in to her store with a friend. They chatted, and she had to run upstairs. When she came back down, Neil was gone – but he had left his number for her. She laughed as she told me this story and said, “How long was I supposed to wait before texting him? What were the rules? Three days?” I asked, “So how long DID you wait?” “Three hours,” she replied with another laugh.

And that was it. That’s all it took. This fireman won her over. It didn’t take long for them to win me over, either.
