Maddie and Stephen’s Figure 8 Island Wedding
Maddie and Stephen had the most beautiful two-day Figure 8 Island Wedding. The weekend started with their ceremony in front of the water. The skies threatened rain all afternoon, but we pressed forward. We were rewarded with the most stunningly dark blue sky over their heads as they said their vows. Afterwards, we photographed the largest bridal party I’ve ever worked with! The wind was causing chaos with the girls’ dresses and Maddie’s veil, but it just added to the entire vibe of their photos!
Later, I got to take just the bride and groom to the beach for their portraits. Luckily, the weather had calmed down by then. We had the most stunning and warm sunset, and again we had fun playing with Maddie’s veil in the wind.
The newlyweds then went to a private dinner with their closest friends and family. The next day the REAL party started! They hosted their reception in the backyard of Maddie’s parent’s home. A crazy fun band, an ice cream truck, and twinkle lights reflecting in the pool. What more could you hope for in a September evening reception? It was truly the most perfect celebration for the sweetest couple!
