Deep dimples. Blue eyes. Wispy blonde hair. I’m telling you, these children are scrumptious. Older brother Henry was the perfect blend of Mama’s boy and the leader of the wolf pack, herding little sister along to each new spot. Sweet and sassy Maggie was truly a gem to let me capture just a sneak peek of her spirit. And of course, chunky Charlie with his round little cheeks!! Not only were these kids adorable, but the parents were fantastic for me, too. I admitted to them that I loved shooting engagement sessions and they happily complied with my sappy poses.
Katie and I had been emailing back and forth for awhile, shortly after Charlie was born, trying to get our schedules to align with school/naptime/meals. We finally made it happen and the morning I stepped out of my car to meet them, the sky was cloudy and a deep gray, promising rain to come soon. Luckily, it held off for the next hour and we were able to shoot some super fun family portraits!
This was my first time photographing at Jonas Green Park in Annapolis and I was thrilled with the variety of locations there. We started under the iconic Naval Academy Bridge, and made our way around the shoreline, ending at a sandy patch where the kids (mostly Maggie!) splashed in the water.
I loved this chance I had to get to know a new, awesome family that I otherwise would never have met! That is one of the many joys I get to experience with this wonderful job of mine (if you can really call it that)!
