Blueridge Parkway Photography | Emily and Brandon
Emily reached out to me wanting some good ol’ classic blueridge parkway photography for their anniversary session, and I was so excited to find the perfect spot for them. We debated between Max Patch (I mean, can you blame them?!) and Craggy Gardens (again, another amazing choice). The day of their session ended up being very moody, as it can sometimes be in the Blueridge Mountains! We ended up meeting at Craggy Gardens. However, we soon realized if we wanted to get any shots of the actual mountains, we were going to have to go lower in elevation. The fog was just too intense to see those ridgelines!
While I love the moody vibe that fog offers us, I wanted to be sure these two also got some views in their photos. We ended up just driving back down the mountain until the skies cleared up a bit for us. We pulled over at a small lookout, and made the most of it! I loved the spontaneity of it. We ended up getting such a great mix of moody foggy and more clear photos! Emily is actually a photographer herself, so we made sure to get a few fun new headshots for her too. You know I love an adorable cute hat to play around with, too!
