The Love Story
Alexa and Jacob met at a party at their apartment shortly after she moved in. Alexa called him the wrong name, and he will never let her live this down! They were just friends for a long time. Both of them dated other people. Later, they became single around the same time Jacob moved into Alexa’s apartment complex. With that, they started going on walks together, happy hours and more. As their friendship got stronger so did their connection. They tried to hide it from their friend group for a bit. But really, there was no going back once we realized how special their connection was! Jacob even said I love you before they were officially dating.
The Proposal
The Engagement Session
We met at the bottom of the mountain, with their sweet pup Baymont in tow. The dirt road up to the top was nothing short of intense! Even so, I loved getting to know these two (three with their pup!) while we bounced over countless bumps. I definitely recommend a vehicle with 4 wheel drive if you’ll be heading to Jumping Off Rock overlook anytime soon! We timed this session just right. The sun was perfectly golden, the trees were brilliant green, and of course — the LAKE! The views are just incredible. We got sweeping clouds coming in and out over the water. It blew our minds!
When I asked Alexa what they were most looking forward to about being married, she said, “Well to be honest I’m not sure much will change! We already live together and our relationship is a 100% partnership. We are excited to just know our lives will grow together, kids one day and much more!” I loved that answer! These two were so much fun to be with. I could tell their relationship is based on friendship. They had so much joy and laughter! See for yourself!
