Olga and Colin’s Lake Lure wedding was intimate and magical. As the twinkle lights sparkled over their reception, Olga told everyone, “This is exactly how I envisioned it!” I was so happy that her wedding day dreams had come true. With less than twenty people in attendance, the day felt so special and connected.

Their family rented out a house on the river, and spent the days leading up to the wedding prepping for it all. Cooking food, creating decor, designing floral arrangements, and tackling details all worked out because the results were stunning. I could tell how hard they had all worked – and that it had been a group effort. They were all proud of not only their hard work and the results, but also the purpose behind it. To celebrate Olga and Colin!

Olga and Colin met at a Music summer camp a few years previously. Their loved blossomed over the heat of summer. Olga changed her plans, and transplanted herself from Canada to North Carolina to be with Colin. Clearly, it worked out as it should – now here they are starting a new life together!

Because of their small numbers, I was invited to join them for dinner. As I sat down with their dearest family and friends, I felt the love and pride each one had to know Olga and Colin, and to be a meaningful part of their love story.
