One of our goals while living in Utah is to visit all the National Parks there is here! And as many state parks as we can….and hiking trails…and awesome campsites….and canyons….and hot ponds….the list goes on! A lifetime goal for Adam and I is to one day visit ALL the United States National Parks. I even recently bought us a scratch-off National Park map so we can keep track of the ones we’ve visited together. We also have a requirement that I have to take and print a photo from each park we visit.
My dad was visiting my grandparents in Arizona, so we decided to meet them halfway in between us and them – by camping together at Bryce Canyon National Park. I remember my dad telling me that this is one of my grandma’s favorite places to visit, so I was excited to see it in person for myself. Adam had been to Bryce as a kid, but for me it was a first time experience!

Since the kids participated in three separate hikes, we were able to tell the rangers at the visitor center and they presented each of us with a giant Bryce Canyon Sticker. Kind of cool, but probably not enough motivation for my boys to fall for it again next time 😉
We can’t wait to hit up Zions and Arches National Parks next time!!
On our way home we made a detour to see the Manti temple, which is where both Adam and I took our endowments out for the first time, so it holds a special place in our hearts. We now have a giant canvas of this photo of the temple in our home!
