Sunset Rock Family Photos | Highlands, North Carolina
I absolutely loved capturing these family photos at Sunset Rock in Highlands. Stacy and her family came up from Florida hoping for portraits with the mountains. I think you all know by now that Sunset Rock is one of my go-to locations when photographing families and couples in Highlands! It has the best views, even in the winter. The hike up is fairly easy, with a nice dirt road for a trail. And it’s an easy trailhead to get to. All things which are hard to come by here in the mountains!
These two kiddos were such good sports on the hike up and for the photos. I loved seeing their interactions with each other. Most especially on the way back down when they were more free to explore, after we got the majority of our pictures done. I also loved taking just mom and dad aside and getting a few shots of just the two of them while their kids giggled and smiled from the sidelines. I love being a part of family’s vacations and traditions while they’re visiting the mountains!
