I only got one hour with them, but these girls certainly won over my heart! I can’t help but think what a lucky man their dad and husband is! I met up with the Tucker family at the Howard County Conservancy just a few days into the fall season. The HCC is always gorgeous, but there is something special about shooting in autumn there. It just feels right, with the barn, the acres of trees, the golden fields, and bales of hay. I loved exploring with these adventurous blondes – keeping up with them was no easy feat but we had a blast.
We walked down the trail to discover a small bridge, where leaves and rocks were thrown off the ledge into the creek passing just underneath. As I watched them play, I got to know their personalities just a little bit, which is always especially fun to distinguish between twins! Big sister fit her role well, as first-borns tend to do. Then Anna pulling hard on mom’s hand, wanting to walk ahead of everyone else and Emma just happy to be exploring.
My favorite part of our session was watching their faces explode into smiles when we got to feed “Buddy” the goat. His caretaker told us he loved to eat dry leaves, so of course we had to give him a buffet of crunchy leaves. I made a comment that he sure seemed to be hungry and the man said, “He’s a goat – and he’s a boy – he don’t need to be hungry to eat!” We all got a laugh out of that, just before we raced back up the hill to finish our session with panting breaths and happy smiles.
