A Couple’s Session at Looking Glass Falls

Chris and Lucy were such a fun, adventurous couple to photograph! This couple’s session at Looking Glass Falls in Brevard, North Carolina was a unique challenge for me! I decided to shoot only film! It was a little dark down by the falls, so I had to underexpose my film and have my lab push it. This creates deeper contrast in my images and deeper saturation in the colors. These two love birds were the sweetest little fairies. They even brought crystals with them to recharge in the waterfall. I loved learning about crystals from them. I wanted everything for this session to be in line with their Fairy vibe. So I came prepared with a bouquet that contained flowers foraged and picked from my own backyard. Lucy came wearing a rose quartz crystal crown, that made her look like a true Fairy Princess! And I felt like Chris’ Indiana Jones’ hat was the perfect touch to complete the look.
