Maddie + Nick | Max Patch Engagement Photos
Maddie and Nick’s Max Patch engagement photos are filled with the best fall colors and the softness of a clear, warm sunset. The drive up to Max Patch always feels a little precarious, with its windy, meandering dirt roads. But every single time Max Patch is a home run with my sessions. With Maddie’s flare and fit dress, and Nick’s muted green top, their outfits matched the scenery and the romance perfectly. And of course sweet River! We can’t forget what a good pup she was for their session. So patient and loving!
Maddie and Nick met through mutual friends from college. She was visiting a friend the weekend before school started, and they just so happened to be at church at the same time. At first, she thought he was younger than her so Maddie says she didn’t give him the time of day! But once she found out he was her age….well, the rest is history! They went to different schools, so that meant a 2 1/2 year long distance relationship. But finally Maddie was able to graduate and move to Knoxville to live by him!
Nick got down on one knee while they were hiking at Jump Off Rock. He surprised Maddie later that night with both their parents visiting and taking them out to dinner. Afterwards, they loved listening to music, dancing on the back porch, and talking for hours about their future together.
