Nina + Holden | Duck Pond Atlanta Engagement Photos

Nina and Holden wanted to head to Peachtree Heights East Duck Pond in Atlanta for their engagement photos. It was an easy choice for them, as it’s just down the street from their apartment. Despite it being February, and a little too early in the spring for many blossoms, we still found color!! I love finding little pops of greenery when photographing in the winter. 

Nina and Holden met in high school, but don’t quite claim to be high school sweethearts. They were just friends as teenagers, and even went to different colleges. After they both graduated and returned home, they met for a drink to catch up. Friendly hangouts eventually turned into what Holden calls “a game of relationship chicken. … where neither of us would just say that we had feelings for the other.” I think we can all relate to that! But finally, it just happened. And they’ve been dating ever since!

So now it’s been four years of trying as many restaurants and bars around town as they could. Four years of traveling to destinations near and far. The best 4 years either of them could have ever asked for!

Holden proposed to Nina in Atlanta at Piedmont Park. In his words, he’s a “terrible liar,” and Nina is “quite intuitive.” So for him, he was just happy he could surprise Nina and everything went off without a hitch! I loved their response to asking them what they were most excited for about being married. Holden said, “The comfort in knowing that you always have someone in your corner is something we’re looking forward to and we can’t wait to celebrate that in front of our friends and family.”

I absolutely loved my time with these two. They are truly a dream team!!
