Hilton Head Engagement Session | Lacey + Matt

This Hilton Head engagement session has everything you could ever hope for in a southern, spring session. First of all, there is the Spanish moss and dappled sunlight sneaking through the branches. Then, to top it off, a dewy sunset over the ocean. My photographer heart was bursting!

Their Love Story

Matt and Lacey met during their freshman year of college and started dating by their sophomore year. They then spent three years separated by long distance. One weekend, after seven years together, Lacey had planned a trip to the Biltmore in Asheville. Little did she know that Matt was also planning something that weekend! After spending the day at Biltmore, Lacey was ready to head out and initially resisted Matt’s suggestion to visit the Statue of Diana, a place they had gone to together often. But once they arrived, Matt dropped down on one knee and asked the question of a lifetime! Lacey says she practically “blacked out” after seeing that their parents were also there, ready to celebrate the joyous occasion with them!

After spending my evening with these two, I’m even more excited for their wedding in spring of 2022 at the Sutherland!
