Black Balsam Knob Engagement Photos | Marie + Jock
Marie and Jock’s Black Balsam Knob engagement session was nothing short of perfection! Marie and I had gone back and forth on the perfect location for their photos. They knew they wanted two different looks. One with a waterfall and one with the mountains! I knew these two were my kind of people! We decided to start at Looking Glass Falls for some portraits along the river. Because it had recently rained, the mist from the waterfall was completely nuts! We had to shoot much farther down the river than usual. I love the look of the mist swirling around them as they sat together on the rock. It is so surreal!
After a quick outfit change (and drying her hair with the heat blasting in their car!) Marie and Jock were ready for location number two at Black Balsam Knob. The weather was absolutely perfect and we ended up with the most stunning and clear sunset. I loved how their styles were completely different for this portion of the session!
Because Marie is a photographer herself, she had such a clear vision for this session. I love it when couples come to me with their own ideas! It really helps to drive the session and carry their unique personalities through the photos. I am so happy for Marie and Jock, and grateful for the chance to photograph them during this exciting time of their lives together!
