Knoxville Botanical Garden Wedding

Now that my shooting schedule has slowed down during these winter months, I have time to edit and blog some of the amazing weddings I was able to second shoot for! Since this was my first year as a North Carolina wedding photographer (I still love being able to say that!), I took on a lot of second shooting jobs so that I could still photograph as much as possible! I met some incredible photographers in the area and discovered new wedding venues!

One hot June day I was able to work with Tara Kneiser Photography for a Knoxville Botanical Garden wedding. We were all SO sweaty on this day but the bride and groom were such great sports and just smiled through the heat and sweat. Of course, being a second shooter, I had the chance to spend a little more time with the groom than I normally do! I love the chance to photograph the groom, his details, and the groomsmen. His mom joined us at his home and I loved watching them share a little mother/son moment. We of course couldn’t ignore his adorable pup who wanted to be in on all the action, and who waited patiently by the front door anytime his owner stepped outside.

When I did get the chance to meet the bride, and I caught her doing a “team huddle” with her flower girls, I knew she was going to be amazing! They even put their hands in and did a celebratory “Break!” cheer. It was adorable and one of my favorite moments of the day!

I absolutely loved the ceremony site at the Knoxville Botanical Garden. It was such a unique location and set up. I loved the ivy wall and how intimate and close everything felt. After the ceremony we took a few portraits. The Garden has a few spots that look SO European! The buildings are elegant and Old World. I can’t wait to photograph here again one day!
