Lacey’s Bridal Portraits at the Sutherland
For Lacey’s bridal portraits at the Sutherland we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day! It was the perfect spring weather. It was my first time at the Sutherland. I was so happy to explore the property before Lacey and Matt’s wedding!
I absolutely love when my clients choose to have a bridal portrait session before the wedding day! It allows us the time to do SO much more than we can on a tight timeline of a wedding day. A bridal session gives brides a chance to try out their dress before the big day, and make sure it fits and moves the way they want it to. Additionally, it also gives a test run of their hair and makeup, and an opportunity to see how it will all photograph. Plus! Another bouquet? Say no more! I’m allll about the flowers.
Lacey asked me to use as much film as possible for her portraits, to which I happily agreed. Shooting a lot of film on a wedding day can be hard if the timeline is tight. But with a session designated for just the bride, then we’re able to slow down a little bit more and use all the film we could ever want! I loved shooting on both 120 film and 35mm during her session. She was truly a vision!
