If you’ve been following me for awhile, then Sarah and her cute little family should be familiar to you. I took their family photos for the first time over two years ago. Sarah is a photographer herself and so we instantly had something in common (besides being moms to two young children). After I met Sarah and chatted with her more, and saw her work, I couldn’t stop thinking about asking her to be my permanent second shooter for weddings. Sarah was the perfect addition to my wedding days – I’ve raved about her before – but really, there is no replacing her. As a photographer OR a friend. We spent many hours in the car together, driving to and from weddings, just talking about life, our businesses, and the Lord’s plans for us.
Sarah has a faith that I aspire to achieve for myself one day. I’ve watched her weather heartache and storms, watched her wait patiently and in hope, and now I have had the chance to capture this glorious season of new life and grand additions. It was an honor I didn’t take lightly, because I knew how much this baby was wanted and needed, in her life and in the lives of her family.
Sarah and I used to both live in Maryland, but now I am in Utah and she is in California, but by a lucky chance, we got reconnected (thanks to her brother getting married and asking me to be the photographer!). Since I’ve been a bit lonely since moving, Sarah’s familiarity and friendship were both refreshing and comforting, healing in a way I didn’t know I needed. Thank you for that, Sarah. I love you and your family.
