Ruth and Dylan’s Wedding at Old Edwards Club | Highlands, North Carolina
It was such an honor to photograph Ruth and Dylan’s wedding at Old Edwards Club in Highlands, North Carolina. First, I met up with Dylan and his groomsmen at the Hummingbird Lounge in downtown. I love capturing these moments before they see each other for the first time. The excitement, the details, the friendship. It all feels so special.
Next I went to Ruth’s hotel room, where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids. Her dress! It’s incredible. Honestly, it was one of my favorite dresses to photograph on a bride because it just suited her SO well.
Finally it was time for them to see each other! These two wanted to have their first look at the beautiful Dry Falls in Highlands. Despite it being a busy Saturday morning, we made it happen! They were a vision.
From there, we drove to Old Edwards Club where we caught some beautiful mountain views and sunset rays. Ruth and Dylan wanted an intimate wedding day, so their ceremony and reception were filled with only their closest of friends. They even got to include their sweet little pup who was sooo excited to see his parents get married! Immediately after the two of them were officially married, they shared their first dance right there where they said their vows. I’d never had a couple do this before and it was so special and beautiful.
Ruth and Dylan are one of those couples you remember for a long time! I’m so glad I was there to witness their love.
