Every October, Baltimore celebrates Free Fall Baltimore, with many museums, festivals, orchards, etc having fun fall promotions. Our favorite one to take advantage of is the free zoo day at the Baltimore Zoo. I think we have gone pretty much every year we’ve been here! Each year it’s gotten better and better as my kids have gotten older and loved seeing the animals more.
The Baltimore Zoo is fairly small, but that is one reason I love it so much! I don’t feel overwhelmed in trying to see it all in one day, parking is easy, it’s not overly hilly (like the DC Zoo is), and it has the best goat petting area ever. They provide brushes, and these rolly-polly little goats just stand around eating while the kids brush their coats. It’s pretty adorable and Rhenner was in heaven. This year we missed our best buds Emily&Co., who have gone with us every year previously, but we loved having some new adventure buddies!
And just a flash back to two years ago, Axton & Jordyn at 2 years old. Such babies!! And yet, both Emily and I had already had our next baby. I’m sure Rhenner was screaming his head off for this entire trip. Life is much easier now 🙂
